Steve Scruggs is President of the Lakeland Economic Development Council (LEDC), a private, non-profit organization with approximately 135 member companies. Steve has been with the LEDC since 1987. The LEDC’s primary role is to create jobs and capital investment by attracting new companies as well as facilitating the expansion of existing companies in the Lakeland area. Laura Taylor, Vice President Operations- LEDC

Laura Taylor is the Vice President of Operations for the Lakeland Economic Development Council (LEDC), a private, non-profit organization with approximately 135 member companies. Ashley Cheek, Vice President Business Development- LEDC

Ashley Cheek is Vice President of Business Development. Ashley joined the team in 2016 and was previously a Property Manager for Publix Super Markets Real Estate Department in their Lakeland headquarters. As VP of Business Development, Ashley is the first point of contact for prospects, developers, brokers, and site selectors. In addition to being a resource for new industry, Ashley builds relationships with existing industry and LEDC members identifying their needs for growth and a healthy business environment. Lucia Forero, Project Manager - LEDC

Joy Davis, Office Manager- LEDC

Joy Davis is the Office Manager of the Lakeland Economic Development Council (LEDC). Joy’s responsibilities include: Manager of the Office & Facilities, Administration, Data Base Development, Demographics, Research, City Visit Administration, Board Meeting Agenda’s and Set-up, Purchasing, Website Manager & Event Coordinator. Christina Graham, Catapult Executive Director

Christina, a Connecticut native, moved to Lakeland to attend Southeastern University to pursue a degree in Finance and Marketing. She began her career with the LEDC as one of Catapult’s first interns in 2014. After graduating, Christina continued with Catapult as the Assistant Director before transitioning to YLakeland, a recruitment and retention initiative for college students and young professionals. At YLakeland, she launched several new programs. In August 2018, Christina transitioned back to Catapult to serve as the Executive Director. Connor Lockhart, Membership Director- Catapult

Connor Lockhart is the Membership Director for Catapult. Connor ensures that Catapult is operating smoothly and that members’ workspace needs are met.  He is responsible for all communication, social media, membership onboarding and exiting, customer relations, and maintaining analytics. Connor incorporates online tools and in-person networking to create relationships that ultimately build Catapult’s brand to the community. Email Connor

Maggie Leach, Kitchen Director - Catapult

Maggie graduated from Southeastern University with a degree in Business Management. She attended culinary school through dual enrollment, and started working in the restaurant industry as a junior in high school. She began as a kitchen intern at Catapult. Robert Blacklidge, Education Director-Catapult

Robert works closely with entrepreneurs and military veterans. Affectionately called the Startup Santa, he provides insights and mentorship to military veterans and community entrepreneurs as they face the many challenges of entrepreneurship. As a USAF Veteran and Serial Entrepreneur, Robert has collaborated and spoken at numerous events. Recently, Robert has served as the Effectuation Camp Creator, Presenter for Action Zone, and 2018 conductor of StartupBus – StartupBus Florida route, and Founder of StartupCruise. Email Robert 

Christin Strawbridge, Project Manager-Catapult

Christin was born and raised in Lakeland and graduated from Southeastern University with a degree in Business Management. She began as a YLakeland intern for the Summer Leadership Program and has transitioned into her new role as  Project Manager at Catapult.
